In Victoria, Parks Victoria are set to announce the result of the survey to replace the Alpine Park Management Plan in mid June 2021. Parks Victoria are lobbying to sniper shoot 500 Brumbies in the Alpine National Park and 30 in the Bogong High Plains.

In New South Wales, the Minister for Environment flagrantly ignores Legislation enacted for the protection and conservation of sustainable managed populations of Brumbies. The Minister is thumbing his nose at the objects and purpose of the Act.

In New South Wales the Minister for Environment must respect the Legislation in force to protect and conserve sustainable managed mobs of Brumbies.

Brumbies are part of Australian cultural Heritage and sustainable populations of wild living Brumbies deserve to be protected. Brumbies have been living in National Parks for two centuries, well before they were declared National Parks.

Please support the introduction of a Bill in Victoria,  the Victorian Heritage Brumby Bill, that if enacted will see managed and sustainable mobs of Brumbies living in Victorian National Parks for the benefit of future generations with input from local communites.

In New South Wales we must encourage the Minister for Environment to comply with the Legislation in force, immediately suspend any actions under the 2008 management plan and take all steps to open the new management plan for public submissions
